DUSK - THE ONLINE STORE - is a super, stylish, quirky and unique shop that adores being able to support locally designed items and encourage those creators to do what they love.

All our stores (we have a couple of DUSK’s) are full of great ideas. The collections change often as our range is constantly expanding and as we discover talented new designers. The products we sell are made with care, love and an amazing amount of cleverness.

We are quite staunch about the importance of sustainability within our own backyard and our country’s very unique identity – and what a way to nurture our obsession of all things beautiful! However, every now and then we do get wooed with an item that is made by a clever person from shores afar, and then we simply have to get it in to share it with you all. And then you, you lucky DUSK follower, get the chance to take some of that home.

We’ve had so many top moments since Lenore Farrelly (owner, creator and the one with the obsession of all things beautiful) opened our very first DUSK in Poplar Street, Christchurch way back in 2007. Our highlights would have to be… obviously meeting so many wonderful people both customers and creators alike; being a 2008 Top Shop finalist was a pretty fantastic achievement; in 2010 we opened our delightful second store in Hanmer Springs and moved our Christchurch store to High Street. And now 2011, the opening of our Online Store! Plus there’s more to come!

Our Christchurch DUSK had a bit of a set back, thanks to unpredictable mother nature, with our gorgeous loveliest-of-lovely store being put out of action due to the February earthquake. Luckily all the people that were in the store at the time are safe and well, however our building didn’t fare so well. Our thoughts have been with all of you DUSK lovers, and we really hope that you are finding something to keep smiling about through these truly bizarre times. We obtained access to the High Street store and rescued a lot of our treasure. Now all we need is a new home and we’ll be back sparklier than ever!
